(Location of marking can be anywhere on the resistance strip.)

In order to fully understand the method we will be following, specially only for these resistors: we are giving examples bearing in mind that only 3 things are being stamped – resistance values in ohms, tolerance & month code.

Examples

OA1 R0022 ±5%; which is manufactured in ‘April’. the stamping will be 0022 J D
OP1.5A R015 ±1% which is manufactured in ‘July’ the stamping will be 015 F G
OP1A R15 ±3% which is manufactured in ‘November’ the stamping will be 15 H K

The above marking system will be followed in most cases where space permits in the following types:

OA1, OA2, OA3, OP1, OP1A, OP1.5, OP1.5A, OP1.5B, OP3, OP3A, OP3B, OP5W, OF1, OF1A, OF1.5, OF1.5A, OF2, OF2A, OF2.5, OF2.5A, OF2B, OF2.75B, OF3.5B, OF4B, OF4BL, OF4.5B and OF6.5BL.

In case of OP 0.5 and where space is a constraint, the resistance value can be marked in milliohms and the tolerance and the month code will also be marked.
